Moms, pick your outfit first. I recommend a flattering dress or skirt-top combo. Ultimately, it should be something you feel comfortable and beautiful in. Stay away from shift dresses, as gusts of wind can make them look "tent-like", and try to avoid large and busy patterns. Small delicate patterns are just fine! Once you've chosen your outfit, everything else will fall into place for the rest of your family. Pay attention to the colors in your outfit, and theme the rest of of the outfits around that. Be careful to not be too "matchy" (example: everyone wearing a the same color shirt and bottoms). Instead, mix similar and complementary colors. You will notice great examples of this in my FAMILY portfolio section. If one person in your family is wearing a plaid flannel, they should be the only one wearing one. Balance patterns like plaid out by dressing other family members in various solid colors that compliment the colors in the paid.

Examples of complimentary color choices:
- Burnt oranges and mustard yellows go well with dark burgundy colors
- Pale/dusty pinks go well with neutral beiges and dark browns
- Army greens go well with khakis, creams, dark browns, and deep purples
- Plum purples go well with grays and khaki colors
- Reds go well with whites, blacks, and neutrals
